Transition to a point where you are only dealing with the most complicated issues and the big picture stuff. Find people who are responsible and capable and start putting them in charge of tasks, then projects and then people. Delegation is not easy, but if it doesn't happen, things will eventually be slowed down and scaling becomes difficult. I think most of us have been guilty of this in some way. Many times a manager, in a well-intentioned attempt to maintain control over every detail, will set up an environment where nearly everything must go through them. Delegate Responsibilities And Lift Others Up It's important to not neglect your personal goals for your professional ones because they are just as important for fueling your creativity and avoiding burnout. If you notice one list getting more attention than the other, you know you need to prioritize and focus more on your other tasks. Separate your personal goals from your professional goals if you feel like you lack balance trying to achieve both. Sharing my goals and progress with them also helps motivate my team members to reach their own goals. ![]() These weekly meetings are also a great opportunity for them to ask any questions they have and then after the meeting, I can go back to working on my goals and be confident that my team has everything they need from me.
