![]() I’m aware that my identity is who I am on the inside, but when it doesn’t reflect on the outside, it makes me uncomfortable in my own body. Only today did I get my binder and It gave me a lot of euphoria about who I am. Those clothes aren’t super comfortable when outside. I was born a female, so up until today, there wasn’t a way I could hide my breasts without wearing hoodies and huge clothes, which isn’t super fun when you live in Florida and it’s summer. I don’t really have a reason, I just don’t feel like I need it to feel confident about my identity.Įven though I don’t feel like I need surgery, I still get a lot of gender dysphoria about my body. Personally, I’m not really interested in getting gender-affirming surgery. If you couldn’t tell by the description of it, gender dysphoria is a terrible feeling. Like many trans people (not all), I do experience both gender euphoria and dysphoria. An example of this is when transmascs bind (wear a binder) the idea of having a flat chest could give a transmasc person gender euphoria.Īt this moment, I don’t know what my gender identity is, but I know I fall under the trans umbrella. This feeling usually happens when someone wears clothes/accessories that make them feel masculine/feminine. Gender euphoria on the other hand is a feeling of joy that a trans person can have when they think about their true gender identity. Because I don't know, I don't experience it, it's not why I transitioned, I just want to feel normal, not euphoric. I don't understand the question? Do you mean how popular is the idea? Well it's gaining popularity with non dysphoric people so they can have unregulated access to hormonal body modding. You also edited your original post to include "how big is euphoria". But euphoria can take other forms, it's all just unrelated to actual transsexualism. So they find being different to the expectation exciting, and they feel euphoria through it. ![]() Teens after all are the majority group for people who have "gender euphoria", teens are also the group who most wants to be counter culture and go against enforced norms. But it's not purely a kink, as I said, it can be for people who want to explore social rebellion. No, it's not like a kink, people can feel euphoric if they have a gender transgression kink. Euphoria can't last, it's temporary by definition unless someone enters some kind of mania, promoting transition for euphoria should never be considered. They shouldn't be put on cross sex hormone therapy because they find playing with gender expression enjoyable. We don't consider crossdressers to be trans because they find playing dress up fun. Crossdressing can make a person feel excited whether for a kink or a release of social boundaries or something else.
